Surya Namskar Registraion 2023 The initiative to transform citizens into healthy individuals through yoga practice has been undertaken with a new approach in the state. In this regard, the Minister of Youth Services and Cultural Affairs announced that the statewide Sun Salutation event will be organized for the first time starting from December 6.
From the 6th of December, the first-ever statewide Sun Salutation competition will be organized, with more than 20,000 locations across the entire state hosting yoga competitions. The inauguration ceremony of the Sun Salutation program will take place on January 1 at the Modhera Sun Temple.

The initiation of the new campaign to make citizens healthy through yoga practice in the state will begin with the launch of the grand Gujarat State Yoga Board’s statewide Sun Salutation Mega Campaign, which will be organized until January 1, 2024. Under this, a statewide Sun Salutation competition will be held from December 6th to December 31st, covering the entire state. The registration for this competition, starting from the village/school and ward level to the state level, can be done through an online link. The registration link is being launched today by the Minister of Youth Services and Cultural Affairs, Harsh Sanghavi.
An event of yoga competition will be organized at more than 20,000 locations in the state. Minister of Youth Services and Cultural Affairs, Harsh Sanghavi, has provided further details on this initiative, stating that a statewide Sun Salutation Mega Campaign will be conducted, covering more than 20,000 locations across the entire state. Approximately 2 crore rupees worth of prizes will be awarded to the participants of this statewide Sun Salutation competition. The grand Sun Salutation Mega Campaign will take place from December 6th to December 31st, involving competitions at the village/school and ward levels, leading up to the state level.

Online registration for participation in the competition will be open from December 6th to December 12th, 2023. The competition will include events at the village/ward level from December 15th, taluka/zone level from December 19th, district/municipality level from December 24th, and state level on December 29th.
Minister Sanghavi mentioned that the competition will be categorized based on age groups, with participants aged 9 to 18, 19 to 40, and 41 and above. Winners in each category will receive different prizes, including cash rewards. The competition aims to encourage yoga practice across all age groups and regions in the state.
Digital certificates will be awarded to participants of the Partnershipthon. The minister provided more details, stating that the first-place winners in the state-level competition will receive a cash prize of Rs. 2,50,000, the second-place winners will receive Rs. 1,75,000, and the third-place winners will receive Rs. 1,00,000. Additionally, all participants of the Partnershipthon will be given digital certificates.

Events will be organized at 190 locations in district/municipality and municipal corporation divisions. After the completion of the competition, on January 1, 2024, a Sun Salutation program will be organized at the Modhera Sun Temple in Mahesana, where participants from the state-level competition will be felicitated. On the same day, programs will be organized at 190 locations in district/municipality and municipal corporation divisions, where citizens will participate in Sun Salutation to welcome the New Year and pay homage to Lord Surya.
