The Gujarat TET exam consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. The exam is conducted in offline mode and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The duration of the exam is 120 minutes (2 hours) for each paper, and the maximum marks are 150.

The Gujarat TET exam syllabus includes topics such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I (Gujarati), Language-II (English), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) in the Gujarat TET exam to qualify for the eligibility certificate, which is valid for seven years from the date of issuance. Candidates who qualify for the Gujarat TET exam can apply for teaching positions in government and private schools in Gujarat.
